Some people mistakingly claim you cannot get dust inside a fixed lens camera.  If you carry your camera in your pocket, it's likely over time you'll get some dust on the sensor, just like a DSLR.  Check out the nasty photos below.  The dust or dirt seemed to shift over time, sometimes it was stationary for weeks, then it would change several times in one shooting.  I sent it back to Panasonic, and they cleaned it up nice, under warranty.  Quick service too.  The second B&W shot has been jacked hard to show the dirt at its most severe. 
 
The last shot is the newly released (last month) AZ quarter, hand-held at F/16 at night on my desk!  I was too lazy to set up the lights.  Notice the engraver's initials below the Saguaro cactus-JFM, or Joseph Menna, not sure about the middle initial.
